Cordyceps
#
- Cordycepin (3’-deoxyadenosine) is the important active constituent, which is only found in militaris, and not found in cordyceps sinesis.
- May affect cortisol
- Downregulates D2 & 5-HT2A receptors in hypothalamus?
- Induces apoptosis
- Anti-Angiogenesis. Vasodilator.
- Increases Oxytocin; enhances Tyrosine Hydroxylase expression
- MAO-B inhibitor.
- I believe it increases Adenosine Receptors.

- Increases Testosterone, DHT Testosterone
- Antioxidant, hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic, antileukemic, immunomodulatory, anti-cancer, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and cyototoxic?
- Lowers LDL, raises HDL
-
Effect of Cordyceps militaris supplementation on sperm production, sperm motility and hormones in Sprague-Dawley rats
- Increased testosterone + E2
- Reduces Acetylcholinesterase activity. Along with improving blood oxygenation this raises the sympathetic tone and aerobic performance.
- Increases Na+-K+-ATPase and eNOS activity.
- Could be a lie honestly; no NOS activity?
- Increases NREM and Theta waves power density therein. R
- 3’-Deoxyadenosine (Cordycepin) Produces a Rapid and Robust Antidepressant Effect via Enhancing Prefrontal AMPA Receptor Signaling Pathway
- Contains 1365mg/kg lovastatin! FUCK R
- *Cordycepin inhibited mTORC1 activation and down-regulated multiple drug resistant (MDR)/HIF-1αα expression through activating of AMPK signaling in gallbladder cancer GBC-SD cells.
- Well I guess this is to be expected
- Cordycepin improved neuronal synaptic plasticity through CREB-induced NGF upregulation driven by MG-M2 polarization: a microglia-neuron symphony in AD
Sinesis #
- Cordyceps sinensis promotes exercise endurance capacity of rats by activating skeletal muscle metabolic regulators
- Activates HIF-1α
Supplementation #
About a 5-hour half-life. Broscience, but perhaps this is true - you must take it right before working out. If you’re relaxing, the adenosine will make you tired. So it can’t exactly be relied on to give you energy, only to prevent fatigue. Apparently 2g+ of extract is the dosage you should shoot for. Probably a shill saying that on reddit but I should try it. Take a few hours before exercise?
- This is the one Lucas Aun is sponsored by: https://lostempireherbs.com/product/cordyceps/?uid=400&oid=11&affid=19. This is 8:1 extract; $40 30g. ND is $30 30g for their 10:1.
