HIF-1 (Hypoxia-inducible factor 1) #
Under normoxia, it binds to pVHL (Von Hippel-Lindau tumor suppressor) and is ubuquinated->degraded. Under Hypoxia, pVHL is bound to Nitric Oxide and HIF-1α induces expression of genes like VEGF, via p300/CBP.
