Tryptophan
#
Amino Acid with an Indole side chain. Mammals do not synthesize it directly, but microbia (and plants) can.
- Precursor of Serotonin, as well as NAMN via the Kynurenine Pathway. In the brain, it converts into serotonin almost immediately.
- By itself, it’s carcinogenic, promotes release of Prolactin, is hypothermic, decreases Glycogen stores, and reduces Endurance, and is anti-Thyroid
- The only amino acid that binds specifically to Albumin.
