Amino Acids #
Follows the following structure:
-
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amino_acid_synthesis?useskin=vector
- Ankifying this is easier said than done, god damn
- Most AAs are synthesized by α-Keto Acids transamintated by other amino acids. Notably pyruvic acid, oxaloacetic acid, and α-ketoglutarate.
- Notably: glutamate, glutamine, proline, arginine.
- Then there’s the oxaloacetate/aspartate family, which also includes lysine, asparagine, methionine, threonine, isoleucine.

These are the main 20 proteinogenic amino acids in ionic form (not shown is selenocysteine (U))
