Monoamine #
Derived from aromatic amino acids like phenylalanine, tyrosine, and Tryptophan. MAOs deactivate them by clipping off their amine group via oxidation. Examples are:
- Catecholamine: Dopamine Noradrenaline Adrenaline;
- Indolamines: Serotonin Melatonin amongst other things;
- Imidazoleamines: Histamine
