Pycnogenol®/Oligopin® (Maritime pine bark extract) #
Pretty sure it’s the same name. Maritine = pinus pinaster, not Pinus massoniana.
- Extract made to be rich in proCyanidins (70% to be exact) and proAnthocyanin. Grape seed extract has a very similar mix of procyanidin/proanthocyanidins. Kinda interchangeable.
- It’s mainly an antiinflammatory:
- NF-κB inhibition, AMPK activation
- MMP inhibition
- Thromboxane A2 downregulation; increases PGI2.
- PPAR-γ.

CityWok became a schizo about it. Üxkull put it on the top 3 supplements for skin aging next to tretinoin and GHK-Cu so god mothafuckin damn. I think 50-100mg is the dose. It becomes intolerable in high doses for reasons I am yet to discover
