    • It was confirmed by radioactive fluoroscence to bind to specific receptors on CD4+ T-cells. Its binding is 20-30% stronger in immune suppressed conditions, so it preferentially targets compromised immune cells. It counteracts the immunosuppressant effects of the measles virus, tumors, or chemotherapy. Its mechanism would make it an extremely good treatment for HIV, which i hope to study. MP5 works at a much lower dose than MP2, suggesting a higher potency than MP2. Mechanistically it restores IL-2 and IL2R expression in infected T cells which restores T cells function and proliferation. Unlike Recombinate IL-2 therapy, which has significant toxicity, MP-5 has no toxicity.
    • Strongest immunocorrective peptide identified thus far, potentially more potent at restoring T-cell function than any thymus peptide like thymogen (which failed phase 3)
