Postsynaptic Density #
This is not an adjective, but a place found in postsynaptic membranes, containing hundreds of proteins, like:
- Ionotropic Glutamate Receptors
- Scaffold proteins like PDZs, CAMK, Actin, and Neuroligin:
It is one of the few things (along wih boutons, dendritic spines, etc.) that enlarges following LTP.
