(Cytidine-diphosphocholine) (CDP-Choline) (Citicoline)

-
An intermediate in the generation of phosphatidylcholine - CDP choline is Cytidine + Choline. Cytidine later converts into Uridine.
- Diaglycerol cholinephosphotransferase converts Diacylglycerol + CDP-choline -> Phosphatidylcholine + cytidine monophosphate.

Its dopaminergic properties are due to it enhancing its production, namely via reuptake inhibition and activating Tyrosine Hydroxylase.
-
Intravenously injected CDP-choline increases blood pressure and reverses hypotension in haemorrhagic shock: effect is mediated by central cholinergic activation (increases Vasopressin)
- VP says choline is a strong diuretic, stronger than the Vasopressin increase it elicits. After about a week you can develop tolerance to the choline’s diuretic effect and the aggression.
- To put it concisely you can either low dose it at 50-150 mg daily or use high doses (I used up to 2 g) and ride out the cognitive disruption, depression, the constant need for urination, lacrimation and straight dysphoria. It gets better after a week or two. Everyone who gets these symptoms never rides it out so they don’t even know it gets better. So yeah it builds up in the organism but this is relevant only for high doses and only acutely, with chronic use the system adapts. Cannabis both prevents these symptoms entirely and prevents the adaptation. Citicoline is incredibly dopaminergic after this period of adaptation and part of this stays with you forever. It potentiates the antidepressant effect of serotonergics at very low doses, Mesembrine 500 mcg + Citicoline 30 mg feels amazing. Throw some PQQ and Ubiquinone in there too to make sure the mitochondria are doing their job… If you got it right it should feel something like the afterglow of psychedelics, everything is bright but you can tolerate the light, a feeling like something good is about to happen, increased social behavior, etc.

- ONLY citicoline at the 5 mg/kg dose had shifted its status from being noneffective to become significantly effective in the co-administered group ~30mg HED.

- Something like 200mg EOD, since it apparently lasts 60-70 hours.
