Phosphatidylcholine

Phosphatidylcholine #

550 (PtdCo connected to C16 and C18)

Supplementation #

  • 15% choline by weight.
  • Mitolipin: $40 for 6g PC (150mg/ $) (900mg Ch = 22.5mg/ $)
  • Change the weight or no? Because per teaspoon it’s 3g, while for other brands it’s like 700mg per teaspoon. I also don’t know how to abstract the fat content.
    • The winner: https://nutrasal.com/products/phoschol-liquid-concentrate-8oz 3g/tsp (so 450mg choline + 3g fat (only 0.5 of which is PUFA)) = 722mg/$.
      • So 1.5g = 225mg choline.
    • Up to 52% dilinoleoylphosphatidylcholine. At least there are no other phospholipids that could compete for absorption and so on.
    • Nutrasal brand has polyenyl-phosphatidylcholine. According to ChatGPT, that means it’s predominantly PUFA. Except in practice not really if you look at the nutrition label. If you look at the page, they brag about its 1,2 DLPC content because of membrane fluidity and whatever the fuck.
  • https://store.biopureus.com/products/biopure-liposorb%C2%AE?variant=39655926726845 $70 24x650 = 222mg/ $.
    • 650mg of PC per tsp. That probably means only 100mg of choline which is definitely more expensive than Nutrasal.
    • The label does not include fat, which makes me wonder if that’s just extra on the other things or if it’s from the PC. In any case, considering it’s derived from soy… I’m skeptical. It’s mostly linoleic acid (52%+ (just like Nutrasal said)), and them some oleic (15%) and palmitic (15%).
    • Looks like the same exact thing: https://www.quicksilverscientific.com/all-products/pure-pc-micellized/ tiny little liposomes. = 283mg/$

Liposome #

I think PC itself can be a liposome for other things, but apparently as a supplement, PC being liposomal might be very important. There’s a handful out there
