Protein #

Sometimes a ‘Peptide’ is a regarded as a protein, but a bona fide protein must at least be a polypeptide of 50+ Amino Acids.

  • I wonder how you quantify protein homology. Is it just the difference of amino acids, or is this typically at the atomic level? At that point you can go to the nucleotide/codon level, which might be another thing entirely but that’s ‘genetic’ homology.
