MAPK (mitogen-activated protein kinase.) #
-
Phosphorylated by MAPKK/MAP2K/MEK, itself phosphorylated by MAP3K and so on: (It stops at MAP4K: mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase kinase. What were they thinking man?)
-
So this is a clusterfuck: - MAPKAPK2 is MAPK-activating protein kinase, but there is also
- MAP2K which is MAPK kinase, and MAP3K which is MAP2K kinase. Thank god it stops at MAP4K.
