Pramiracetam #
- Laser focus
- Ideal mental space for studying
- Considerale short-term memory improvement
- Emotion-dampening
- Not proven to be an AMPA PAM (See nootopics)
- Its benefits working instead mainly via HACU.
- Inhibits prolyl endopeptidase (aka prolyl oligopeptidase).
- There are multiple reports of this racetam causing long-term damage to cognition (working memory). Nitric oxide synthesis may result in glutamate excitotoxicity! 300mg/kg in rats (so >3g in humans…) increased NOS by approximately 20%, which is quite dangerou apparently.
- There is definitely a solid laser focus. I think this type of effect is adverse during meditation. Seems to work well alongside oxiracetam although this might be superfluous.
Supplementation #
- Dose: 300-400mg
- Longecity scienceguy: Toxic dose 5g?
- Timing: 4.5-6.5 hour half life (peak @2.5). 8-week cycle
- Most expensive racetam and tastes like a nightmare; idk the bioavailability but you’re best off just going oral.
- Fat-soluble
- Uxküll’s favorite anti-distraction nootropic.
- Amdu: If pramiracetam worked like the first time every time it would be better than every other noot on the planet combined. I thought my entire life was going to be easy mode after that first time. I was so focused that my visual field would literally zoom in on things as I was concentrating on them It took like 10 seconds to enter flow. I’ve only combined tak and prami once and liked it, but it was almost overwhelming in the sense that I felt like I could burn myself out at any moment (though this never happened, the comedown was pretty smooth). I think it was mostly the prami, it makes me feel like I’m putting all of my mental energy into whatever I do.
