To avoid excessive fragmentation, this is mostly going to be a page strictly about software/“project” related things. And certain books, of course.

https://compneuro.neuromatch.io/tutorials/intro.html This is amazing:
- Guy on Plebbit: I did the observer track and my project (based off the NMA prompts) actually got me my current job as a postbac RA! So thanks for that lol
-
It’s basically a big series of Jupyter notebooks, usually with a few concomitant lectures/tutorials. They ran for like 3 weeks each.

Information Technology ideas and examples out the ass.

They ALSO have a Deep learning course:

https://open-neuroscience.com/ We are a user-driven database of open neuroscience projects. It has so much, wtf.
- You can align its molecular, receptor, myelin, and cellular maps to your own MRI or EEG brain maps!

- In comp neuro, a lot of students jump to industry as research scientists in tech outfits and make several hundred thousand in total compensation. Even the ones that are merely “quantitative” generally transition well to industry making easily over $100k.

https://www.meduniwien.ac.at/neuroimaging/mRNA.html Atlas that shows gradient of expression of any protein you search for in the human brain. For example here’s VMAT2 or something:
- Project: see correlations between them. Maybe find some way to automate a massive amount of genes, like say from a GWAS like Intelligence and correlate the brain regions.
- https://www.proteinatlas.org/ also has this, along with like 11 other things
- BigBrain Project - ultrahigh resolution whole-brain imaging project of sorts
