• The BBB consists of endothelial cells lining the capillary wall.
  • Capillaries exchange stuff between blood and interstitial fluid. Thus they’re thin with numerous capillary pores which are permable to water and other small substances.
  • Veins actually just carry (mostly deoxygenated) blood from the tissues back to the heart. R (very influential and informational paper; a few more badass figures)

In the PNS, it is formed by satellite cells.
