Benzyl Alcohol #

Bacteriostatic water is actually just 9mg/mL water with benzyl alcohol.

• TII Dei water or distillated water boiled on a hot plate for more than 10mins (must be boiling for at least 10 minutes). Let it cool slightly where it’s not scalding hot, measure out enough Benzyl alcohol in comparison to the volume of the water to make the solution. Should be a standard 0.9% Benzyl alcohol volume. i.e. 1000mg of water should have around 9mg of benzyl alcohol. Once the solution is fully cooled you store it in a sterile container.
