Circa 2026-10-10 I randomly noticed this very rough draft and decided to just undraft it cuz it’s pretty interesting and I’ll probably not get around to refining these ideas publicly any time soon.
The Generative Mindset

As you accept the project of immortality; as your concern for Life expands spatiotemporally into the Infinite, expedient cultural conditionings are quickly annealed in the process. Not only do your guiding principles for your every action transform from being concerned only with yourself and your lifetime (let alone the here and now) but you can see the infinite potential in every single being, and how every every backwards move you make will have to be dealt with in your life; nothing is taken to the grave.
The way I like to think about a lot of thinks is via backtracing from centuries into the future all the way to my vision of a ∞-1 posthumanist utopia, and seeing what I’ll need to do from now to then in order to be as kind, wise, useful, etc. as possible. Your wildest dreams are not only inevitabilities, but something to be transcended towards their logical extreme.
(Ω talks about this)
Think of it this way: compare the prospect of ’learning math’ when you A) have a test or B) want to become a field expert, or maybe even the greatest mathematician of all time.
We’re on the topic of longevity here: you see this in Bryan Johnson. He gets roasted on a daily basis for expressing his views, yet as far as I know he doesn’t block people trolling him or throw a fit; he doesn’t delete his account, stop uploading/posting out of shame, or change his views to suit other people. He instead asks what he has to do in order to be more respectable and how to make his message more clear and powerful.
Peating is pretty much the opposite of ‘hormesis culture’ of self-improvement that seems to fetishize pain and suffering. In (the second half of) Remembering Eddie Van Halen + the Future of Metal this guy talks about how our society nowadays is more celibate because of how ‘cool’ it is to have the weight of the world on your shoulders, as was reflected in grunge music, and now the dog-eat-dog mindset of hiphop and the nihilism of cloud rap. Intensity, energy, and profundity are the wellsprings of life, not sacrificing yourself on some hamster wheel in service of lesser gods like taking cold showers to raise your adrenaline to be more ‘productive’ or whatever the hell.
(On the topic of music, I wonder is hyperpop is doing something along these lines)

During the 19th year of my existence, I spent the majority of my time researching and experimenting with things I found/learned about on this website as a starting point, and I look back on those days fondly. If you know how to navigate forums well and use the search function, this site is a great tool for learning about nutrition and biology. I recommend averting your eyes from the front page and its political topics if we’re keeping this strictly about nutrition; that’s a whole other topic.

@Travis. Rest in peace. A genius, plain and simple.
- The Travis Corner
- Someone has archived all his posts here. I may upload a mirror soon.

@Amazoniac, who, once prolific, has since been banned. He has a blog Prolactinia but his prolactin is too high for him to make any posts. His phraseology (‘prolactinese’) is a work of art and something I simply could not replicate but to feel a strange affinity towards; a penchant for the making of and the linking to obscure references and the like. His macabre portmanteaus are sometimes jokes, and not reflections of dietary advice.
- A vast arsenal of threads. Some favorites:
- Q: Was Otto Warburg Wrong? A: Interesting presentation, thank you for sharing!
-
@tyw. He absolutely goes off in a number of threads.
- His blog: https://tanyewwei.com/blog/
-
@Terma, who has since gone offline in the name of Jesus Christ.
- The guy has all human pathways memorized. He would’ve woned a Nobel prize at this point if it wasn’t for the fact that he’s canadian, therefore most of his day is spent trying to prevent milk bags from collapsing.

- Terma, The Most Underrated Member
- Consciousness Is Quantum, Can Be Modulated With Specific Chemicals a hijacked thread of Haidut’s.
-
@CLASH, aka Mike Fave, who is on YouTube and on the Energy Balance Podcast
-
@RedSun if you want to hone your understanding of how micronutrients interact, especially as it relates to histamine and methylation. He has since left/been banned after getting trolled.

@Jennifer for having a lot of pragmatic tidbits on sourcing/preparing all kinds of foods, thanks to extensive experience experimenting with WOEs, notably fruitarianism and vegetarianism. See her profile (and other posts) for a ton of links. Now I know where to buy 11 lb. boxes of daets.

@olive because my daily diet is oddly very similar to his (he is nearly vegan); (sweet) potatoes forming the core of his diet gave me a good template for meal planning when I first

@gbolduev in honorable mentions. Anesthesiology book, all there. Doctors who are in the offices are not doctors, they are clowns. I said emergency rooms, anesthesiology.

Alex K. Chen: This guy might be the main character of the universe—or rather, in his words—the #IdealLongevityProtagonist. Where do I begin? He has a vast online presence. Indeed, I just found a comment of his on a lecture on youtube about genomics that had maybe 2k views, and the process began. He has entirely optimized his existence towards careful execution of the Plan, and naturally it landed on the project of immortality. Together with AGI, that’s the pipeline, isn’t it? He’s deep into the AI/LessWrong/rationalist sphere, though I won’t make outright attributions towards any specific belief system (frankly I’m not sure what he’s got going on in his head). But that’s the thing: social outreach (especially online) is his forté. It’s like he’s playing 4D chess with eminent figures in longevity(-adjacent) fields, and accelerating. Case in point: https://forum.longevitybase.org/t/the-eminently-readable-list-of-personalities-in-longevity-aging/106. I’m not sure why he looks like a kid, but if that isn’t a sign he was destined for longevity given the metabolic robustness of pre-pupescence and whatnot, then I don’t know what is. I belive he’s on the autistic spectrum, and with the low-mTOR low-androgen phenotype it all reminds me of the alien; the vision of the future human. I mean all that in the best way. On youtube, he has a lot of playlists of some pretty high-level videos on like dozens of different topics. Once again proof that he knows what quality information really is. No pop-science bullshit—mostly. Some brilliant lectures/hidden gems in the Neuroscience one.
